Report: Denmark nods bill letting ban N Stream-2 construction
MOSCOW, Nov 30 (PRIME) -- The parliament of Denmark has approved a bill allowing it to ban construction of Russia’s Nord Stream-2 gas pipeline in the country’s territorial waters, newspaper Berlingske Tidende reported on Thursday.
“The Danish parliament unilaterally approved a bill giving an opportunity to consider issues of foreign policies, security and defense during the making of a decision on whether to permit power cord and pipeline laying in Danish territorial waters on Thursday,” Berlingske Tidende reported.
According to the newspaper, only environment and safety reasons were earlier valid to prohibit pipeline construction.
